Frontline Prayers

"18. If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. 19. if you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you." John 15:18-19 ESV

Brother Babu in India is on the front lines and experiencing this verse first hand. Babu is our director for the mission trips that EIFC take each year to Bangalore India, to preach and teach. Recently Babu has experienced some tremendous persicution. There has been an attempt on his life and false charges brought against him lately. A group of militants jumped out of a van and tried to grab him one day as he left his church, he fought them and began to scream, they got nervous and jumped back into the van and left. Praise God for his protection over Babu that day. The militants would have surley taken him out of the city and killed him. If that wasn't enough, someone with malisiuos intentions brought false chrages against him, his wife, and sister who are all involved in the ministry with Babu.
The legel system in India is quite different from ours. When you bring charges against someone you don't have to have proof. The police arrest you and force you to pay a "bail" before they let you go, and then maybe an investigation will be made.
Babu had to flee the city when he found out about the charges. He knew that if they put him in jail, they would kill him for his faith. His wife kids and sister joined him in hiding as soon as they could.
At this moment Babu and his family are still in hiding.
Please pray for this man for boldness to proclaim the name of Christ.
Pray also that God in His great sovereignty would redeem Babu's name in his city.
